While reworking the newsletter list we started talking about the steps of creating a Newsletter, and figured that we might have to rework the steps a bit so we made some changes to the Newsletters edit/add page that you will see coming in 5.0.1:

What has changed?
Basically, two things have changed in the Newsletter view. Now instead of a drop-down where you chose Not ready/Ready to show the configuration sidebar, the sidebar is always visible and there is a button to click once you feel satisfied with your newsletter and it’s settings.

Once you click this button, the Newsletter will be locked and set to send at the date/time that you chose in the configurations, this part is the same as it was before, but instead of setting Status -> Ready and then clicking save, you are now free to edit all your settings and then just clicking send or saving the newsletter to edit it more at a later date.

And instead of a drop-down for send to/filter out lists and sequences you now click the button and a modal opens where you chose what lists/sequences you wish to send to/filter out. We separated these into a modal instead of showing a list for many reasons, the main one being that when you have very long list names it looked confusing in the drop-down list and the new implementation gives a new separation that is very clear.

Tip: You can CTRL + click to select several items in the modal lists.
